Turkish Delight
Ingredients:
500g Sugar
60g Honey
340ml Water
30g Gelatine leaf
20g Rose water or Peppermint oil to taste
Red & green food colour as desired
100g corn flour
Method:
Soak gelatine in 50% of the water and set aside.
Boil the other 50% of the water with the sugar and honey to 118c (soft ball).
Pour onto the gelatine mixture, add flavour
and colour as required.
Can store in fridge or out, allow 6-8 hours ideally & coat with cornflour. Cut in desired shapes and roll in corn flour to stop it sticking back together again. Keep in an airtight container.
